She is being collected at 3pm.
I also know she’s going for a sleepover tonight, because when I came down this morning, she was dressed, ready to go.
I thought it would be prudent to have a look to see what she is taking with her.
This is her list:
- Teddy bear
- Story book
- Word Search book
- Pencil sharpener
- Sea shell (most important – BFF gave it to her)
- Hairbrush (Folding)
- PJ’s (clean, but screwed up into a ball)
- Jumper (also screwed up into a ball)
- Ear muffs (?)
- 2 pairs of socks (clean)
- 2 pairs of pants (clean)
- 2 face flannels (why 2?)
- 2 lip balm
- various pens and pencils
- Her tooth bag (In case any of her teeth fall out)
- Fairy dust for the Tooth Fairy
I have decided, that my daughter is practical, and optimistic.
I need to teach her how to fold clothes. She thinks she can, but that’s just ‘balling’ clothes.
When I went into her room this morning, still rubbing sleepy dust out of my eyes, she had her bag in her hand, her rucksack on her back, and was putting her shoes on ready to go. She hadn’t even had breakfast.
I also need to teach her to tell the time on her own.
And no, it’s not bloody 3 o’clock!
